Whispers by Suzanne Rock

Summary:
Rose is skeptical when Lady Denville hires her to take care of some ghosts in her townhouse. She expects to find a nest of rats or leaky water pipes. Instead she finds two sexy spirits intent on fulfilling her every sexual desire. They introduce her to a whole new world of pleasure -- and a curse that may destroy them all.

Lionel and Jonathan have been trapped in the townhouse for decades, waiting. When Rose walks in, they know that she is the one with the power to save them. The key to their freedom lies within reach, and both men must put aside their differences if they ever hope to break the curse that binds them to the townhouse. As the men set out to seduce Rose and gain their freedom, their sexual desire turns into something more. Now they must be honest with the woman they love, or stay imprisoned in the spirit world forever.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable: anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, menage.

Reviewer: BlueBell
Rose Morgan hasn’t had it easy and her husband’s death has just made things worse, since he’s left her almost penniless due to gambling debts. The local ton gossips about her and practically shuns her as they believe she can talk to ghosts. Although they don’t mind summoning her whenever they hear an odd noise and they believe a ghost is haunting their homes.

When Rose is summoned to Lady Denville’s home to get rid of a ghost she, of course, goes and is shocked to find that it’s not just a branch scrapping against a window but two very real apparitions.

Jonathon and Lionel are not really ghosts they are just trapped in Lady Denville’s home due to a spell that can’t be broken as the witch that cast it to protect the two men was killed in their stead. Now they are waiting for a powerful witch with the power to reverse the spell. When they feel Rose enter the house they want to believe she is the answer to all their problems and can free them.

To me, this wasn’t one of Ms. Rock’s best books. I found the time line to be a little scrambled in places. I didn’t really feel a lot of connection between Rose and the guys. The plot in places seemed to stall and was rushed in others. I think maybe if the story had taken place over a weekend instead of a night it might have been more enjoyable. 3/5
