A Man, A Jersey, and a Tight End (Goldilocks 2) by A M Riley

Summary:
Since Brian and his three bears first set up house, the demands of Paul’s long distance job have put a strain on all of their relationships. Jim feels that everything is dumped on him; Scott is still unsure about being a sub; Brian's brattier than ever; and when Scott brings home a ‘stray’ in the form of a young brat named Joshua, the household is set on its ear. Of course, the brats handle the situation in their own fashion and Jim and Paul have their hands full.

They've got their plays scrambled and it's going to take a lot of hard work to find the proper balance between discipline and love.

Publisher's Note: This book is a re-edited, revised version that was previously released by another publisher, and contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and elements (including/not limited to flogging), male/male sexual practices.

A Man, A Jersey, and a Tight End picks up where Goldilocks and His Three Bears left off - with our four guys living together. Brian isn't doing so well with the long distance thing and Paul having to be away for months at a time. He's feeling urges he doesn't understand and needs Paul there with him. Scott also isn't doing so great, he has a tough time reconciling subby men with what he is - a subby man. Paul is, well, Paul, and once again Jim is the wise, sage, "mama bear" of the group. The addition of Paul's old friend Freddie and a stray Scott named Joshua doesn't really do much to change the group dynamic in any way. One should be warned though, that this book is pretty much just one (kinky fun!) sex scene after another, with a little bit of plot and angst mixed in between scenes.

There were a lot of time skipped in this one, making things seem a bit disjointed for me at times. I had a hard time remembering Scott and Brian were grown men in their twenties, and not high school, heck, sometimes even junior high kids. They're called Brats, and it totally fits the bill - acting out, fighting, picking on each other, pouting, scheming, and getting into things they aren't suppose to mess with. They just don't seem like adults much of the time. Paul and Jim carry that a step further, TREATING them like spoiled little boys, complete with spankings and time in the corner. It worked for this story, but it's not normally my cuppa, and not something I'd set out to find again. I like a more grown up BDSM relationship, not one with half the pair treated more like a child than an adult with a kink.

All in all, I'm happy I read this sequel, and I'm giving it 3.5 stars.
